ISP Parent and Community Programme - The Future of Work & Global Trends: What type of jobs will there be? (Europe - English)
Professor Tristram Hooley takes a look at the future and, while no one can predict what will happen, he will argue that there are lots of things that we can do to ‘future proof’ ourselves and our children. Professor Hooley will explore what the big trends in technology, politics and society mean for careers in the future and he will examine the skills and occupations that are most likely to be in high demand in the next 10, 15 or 30 years. This presentation will be informative, offer practical advice for talking to your children, and will help to reassure you that the future holds many exciting career opportunities for your children.

Tristram Hooley is Professor of Career Education at the Inland Norway University of Applied Sciences. He has previously worked as Director of Research for Careers & Enterprise Company, been the Chief Research Officer at Institute of Student Employers, and the Head of International Centre for Guidance Studies at the University of Derby.

Professor Hooley has published 10 books and over 100 articles and reports. In this session he will be drawing on his forthcoming article ‘The future isn’t what it used to be! Revisiting the changing world of work after Covid-19’ which will be published in the forthcoming volume The Future of Career Education.
